BUREK FOR GUINNESS

From tonight, starting at 8 pm until Saturday, September 11, 2010 at midnight, in the Street Vojvoda Gojko, in Palilula ramp, it will be held “DAYS OF BUREK”. Organizer of seventh burekdzijada is Union of bakery of Nis in cooperation with City Municipality of Palilula, Tourism organization of Nis, with support of City of Nis, city municipalities, Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and Ministry of Economy and Regional Development. “It is a plan that every year “Days of burek” be better and bigger manifestation. This year we will have 12 participants, and gests from Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria, and from distant China. Bakers will try break Guinness record for biggest burek – says Bratislav Vukadinovic, president of Union of bakery of Nis and ads, “bakers plans that size of burek for Guinness be two time four meters, and innovation of this year burekdzijada is burek from fish. According to Boban Mikic, member of Council City Municipality of Palilula provided beside central stage and booths for participants. It was established necessary sanitary and technical conditions in coordination with sanitary inspection, so there is no concern about health certificate of food – stressed organizers. As following manifestation of Days of burek, for the first time in our city, it would be held and Festival of old city songs of Balkan, which will gather six ensemble from Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia and there is and Naive artist colony of Balkan. Organizers expect that this manifestation will have big echo in public and that burek will in the true sense become brand of City of Nis.
